Miami Swim Week 2025

Soigné attended Miami Swim Week 2025, a fever dream of contradictions—where Y2K nostalgia collided with aquatic futurism, and runway theatrics masqueraded as innovation. Sequins dripped, ombré bled, and crochet cover-ups clung to retro innocence, while gingham prints tried their best to whisper “summer romance.” Designers like Oséree and Oceanus dove deep into kitsch, sending down clam shell bustiers and embroidery straight out of a Little Mermaid fever dream.

But behind the shimmer, the real story was stagnation. Miami Swim Week clung to its tired fantasy—that more skin signals more freedom. Instead, it delivered the same formula: overexposure disguised as empowerment. The cheeks were out, but the ideas stayed firmly tucked in.
